The Alameda High School Athletic Boosters are sponsoring summer volleyball clinics for middle-school students in the Alameda area. The clinics will be led by current coaches and players, and will feature 1-on-1 as well as small-group skills development.
Each 2-week clinic (4 sessions) will be structured for middle-school volleyball players in preparation for the middle-school volleyball season.
All sessions will focus on the skills necessary to play volleyball at the middle school level including:
- Passing (bumping/setting)
- Attacks (spiking)
- Serving
- Court positioning
- Awareness
At the end of the clinic, students should have a solid foundation of the skills necessary to participate in a volleyball match.
Attendees should come properly attired and need to bring personal water bottles.
Each clinic will be limited to 20 participants (minimum 12) to maximize “touches.”
Clinics will be held at Alameda Point Gym, 1101 W Redline Ave, Alameda, CA 94501.

Clinic 1: July 9, 11, 16, 18

Clinic 2: July 23, 25, 30, Aug 1
Time: 6th and 7th graders from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, 8th and 9th graders from 7:00 PM – 9:00pm

Who: For all (coed) middle-school students entering 6th, 7th, 8th, or 9th grade

Please print and complete the AHS Hornets Volleyball Clinic Liability Waiver and return to Coach Ohno after completing your registration. This is required for your child to participate in the clinic.
One session equals one day. Please choose the number of sessions you want. Then click the dates for those sessions. You may choose all of Clinic 1 or 2, or you may mix and match from 1 to 8 sessions between them. JUST CLICKING THE DATES WILL NOT ADD THEM TO YOUR CART. YOU MUST CHOOSE THE NUMBER OF SESSIONS AS WELL.
